Simulaciones electrónicas (Electronic Simulations)

(Research / Performance / New Media)

For this project, I designed a wearable device called the Unisensorial Suit, integrating four cameras of different formats positioned on different parts of my body: the head, chest, back, and feet. Each camera captured my movements from a distinct bodily perspective, producing multiple simultaneous viewpoints of the same action.

The initial intention was to observe these images in real time and later translate them into an installation where the different perspectives could be experienced simultaneously. By fragmenting vision across the body, the project explored how perception changes when the image is no longer tied to a single, stable point of view.

During the process, the project gradually evolved from a performative experiment into a broader investigation into how we experience electronic images in contemporary media culture. The work became a reflection on the ways technology mediates perception and constructs multiple perspectives of reality.

These reflections were later published in the book Medios Múltiples, alongside contributions from other artists exploring similar questions around media, perception, and digital imagery.
